It seems that the chickens have come home to roost for us voters. Unemployment benefits are about to be terminated for more than two million American workers. Social Security is being considered for cuts, while Republicans fight most righteously for the rich man’s tax giveaway. House majority leader John Boehner has labeled any opposition to the rich man’s tax cuts as ‘Chicken Crap’. Once again, The GOP would make a mess fit to be called horse crap. How about Congress purchasing healthcare like the rest of us? Why are there no cries for uncapping social security – so that the every income level would have to pay their fair share? Congress enjoys some of the best schooling and childcare in the nation – while the rest of us struggle to provide our children with a decent education amid one cut after another. Some of these things are hardly republican or democrat….this is more about fairness, but when the GOP to pretends to fight for the little guy – that is just plain dishonest horse crap. Wisconsin Voters replaced financial watchdog Feingold with Johnson – who had no plan beyond spending millions of dollars getting elected. Feingold was the rare politician who would stand up to all of Congress when things weren’t right. Hopefully Johnson can do more than change the subject and spend money. Finally there is governor elect Walker. Wisconsin won the lottery when it came to high speed rail funds. Walker plans to refuse the 810 million dollar Federal Grant, while putting state employees on the chopping block. Wasn’t job creation supposed to be the number one priority for our new governor? But then what do I know? I am just a little democrat who thinks that I should be “my brother’s keeper” and my brother isn’t rich.
